Cochranton crews responded to a Barn Fire last evening just after 8:30 pm on Lake Creek Road. Coch Chief Schell arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the dairy barn. Cochranton Engine crews entered the barn from the upper level and main level and made a good stop on the spreading fire. Extensive overhaul was needed to extinguish the hot spots in the ceiling and walls area. Engine 4-21

2016 Sutphen Engine. The Engine carries 1000 gallons of water, 25 gallons of foam and has a 2200 gpm pump. It has seating for six, with plenty of additional inside cab storage. The hose bed carries 1200 feet of 4″ supply line. It also has five 1 3/4 attack lines along with one 2 1/2 attack line. Compartments carry all the necessary tools and equipment needed on the fire ground, or accident scene. A folding light tower and remote monitor are a few of the new tools on the engine.
