Cochranton Volunteer Fire Dept & Ambulance Service

Nobody gives you the title Firefighter, you earn it.

Nobody gives you the respect it brings, you earn it.

Nobody gives you the seat on that rig, you earn it.

Nobody gives you that rank on your helmet, you earn it.

Nobody gives you your place in Heaven, you earn it.

Rest in Peace Brothers and Sisters who already EARNED IT!

We will NEVER FORGET YOU!

Cochranton crews responded to a brush fire this afternoon on the Franklin Pike. The fire in the dry switch grass made it interesting for the crews on scene when the winds picked up and spread the fire very quickly. Crews worked all sides to gain control of the fire which burned apx 6+ acres. Cochranton was assisted by West Mead 1 and East Mead Fire Dept. All crews did a great job on scene. Thanks to Rick Dunn for bringing his tractor up to pull out our brush truck that sunk on the field. ... See MoreSee Less
